We are pleased to host Prof. Hallsie Reno, of the University of Iowa who will talk about “Collider Neutrino Physics”.
Abstract:
During the Large Hadron Collider Run 3, the FASERnu and SND@LHC neutrino experiments in existing injector tunnels in the very forward region will intercept and detect neutrinos produced at the ATLAS interaction point. A proposed Forward Physics Facility for the High-Luminosity LHC era, 620 meters along the collision axis from the ATLAS interaction point, would host larger neutrino detectors as well as other detectors to search for very weakly-interacting particles. In this seminar, I will describe the status of forward neutrino flux evaluations for neutrino energies up to a few TeV. The physics potential for standard model physics.
