On Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 11 a.m., the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and the African American/Black Association will honor Black History Month by hosting a virtual presentation by James Howard, Executive Director of Black Inventors Hall of Fame Museum. Howard will give a presentation focused on the importance of the museum and showcase some of the inventors. In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the African American Black Association is sponsoring a coat drive. The AABA is accepting new or gently used coats for any age between Jan. 3 – 27 for the local charity Family Focus of Aurora. Family Focus is an organization that invests in strengthening families and their children in Chicago and NE Illinois to build social capital and achieve upward economic mobility through high-quality innovative programs and services grounded in anti-racism and social justice….
