We may have moved on from bubble chambers to liquid-argon detection in the field of particle physics, but bubble chambers have not yet outlived their usefulness.

The first meeting of the international “Sanford and Sun” scientific collaboration will take place April 1-4, 2016 in Lead, South Dakota. The collaboration plans to install a massive detector underground at SURF that will be composed completely of recycled components. Anyone interested in joining the new endeavor should contact Fred or Lamont Sanford.

In response to complaints from the EAG about poor cell phone reception on the ground floor of Wilson Hall, Fermilab’s RF Department has installed a new pair of cellular hot spot antennas.
