Electrical engineer Jim Zagel came to Fermilab in 1978 and started his lab career in the Accelerator Division Controls Group. Nearly 40 years later, he is retiring.

Machinist Mark Eriks started work at Fermilab in January 1981. He joined the laboratory’s machine shop and has since contributed to the production of machine components for the laboratory’s Technical Division.

Those who know Liz Quigg know that under her cheerful exterior is a workhorse, one who’s been putting her code-slinging skills to use for Fermilab computing and education for more than 40 years.

Sylvia Wilson retires

After working at Fermilab for 34 years, Sylvia Wilson of ESH&Q retires from Fermilab on Dec. 1. She plans to enjoy a new chapter in life with her family. “It has been a wonderful opportunity and pleasure to have worked with many professional and talented individuals at the lab,” Wilson said. “Thank you all for providing me with your support and assistance.”
