This system will ensure efficient delivery of travel services and compliance with the Transportation Security Administration requirements. New tougher security standards for Visa Waiver Program travelers will go into effect as of April 1, 2016. VWP travelers will be required to present an e-passport with a biometric-enables chip, and travelers who since 2011 travelled to Iraq, Syria, or other country designated by the Secretary of Homeland Security will be prohibited from using the VWP.
