Maclura pomifera tree

The fruits are not generally eaten, and human use is limited to the tree's wood, for instance in bow making (bois d’arc). A few osage oranges (Maclura pomifera tree) are still hanging by the Site 50 barn entrance from Batavia Road. The fruits are not generally eaten, and human use is limited to the tree’s wood, for instance in bow making.
