Applications are now being accepted for the fall 2017 Finals of the University of Chicago Innovation Fund. Applicants from across the University of Chicago, Argonne National Lab, Fermilab, and the Marine Biological Laboratory will compete for up to $1.25 million ($250,000 per team) in proof-of-concept funding. Fermilab badge holders have another chance to propose a name for an IARC conference room.  This time, it is the second-floor southeast conference room (duplicate of the 3rd Floor “Floating Point), which seats 15 and has an uncharacteristic narrow, pointed shape (see picture).
