The second installment of “Updates from the Scientific Advisory Council” will be held on the afternoon of Friday, Nov 8, in One West from 2:00 – 3:30pm. The goal of this semi-quarterly meeting is to inform the scientific staff on the activities of the SAC and other information relevant to the scientists at Fermilab. The agenda for this meeting includes, Snowmass 2021 Update,  Operational Excellence, and Climate Survey Recommendations .

Please submit nominations for the 2019-2021 Scientific Advisory Council members. The Scientific Advisory Council has 15 members who serve a 2 year term, with half the group rotating out each year. The SAC needs diverse representation, incorporating scientists from all scientific areas and from people at all stages of their careers, so please keep this in mind when making your nominations. The Neutrino Physics Center is now accepting applications to its Spring 2018 Fellowship program, with a deadline of March 31, 2018. These fellowships are to bring the international neutrino community to Fermilab to engage with the neutrino community at Fermilab, for short to medium term visits (2 weeks to 6 months).  This includes both experimentalists, working on Fermilab experiments, and neutrino theorists. The Neutrino Physics Center is pleased to announce a series of informal talks covering both neutrino experiment and theory. Talks will be weekly, Thursday 5.00 to 6.15 pm, throughout the summer and are geared towards visiting undergraduate and graduate students.
