The Fermilab Arts & Lecture presents approximately 20 events per year, ranging from physics talks to theater and music performances, listed here (events.fnal.gov/arts-lecture-series). Occasionally we need additional ushers beyond the auditorium committee.  Ushers are asked to tear tickets or hand out programs at the door, arriving approximately 45 minutes before curtain. Calling Fermilab Musicians – We’d like to show off the many talents of our Fermilab Family at the Open House, so we want you to come strut your musical stuff!  Acoustic performances are now being scheduled in the Welcome Tent for the Open House on Saturday, September 23.  Unfortunately no power, no piano, and no money.  Interested?  Email mackay@fnal.gov

Interested in captivating arts performances? Informative lectures? The Fermilab Arts & Lecture Series is looking for volunteers to help usher at our public events. Usher needs will be emailed out at least a week prior to the event, and volunteers will receive two free tickets for the event at which they usher. On Sunday, January 24, the Spektral Quartet performed a program that included Prokofiev, Schumann, Beethoven, and two young composers — Sky Macklay and David Reminick — to a rapt audience as the kick-off concert for the 2016 Gallery Chamber Series.
