Marburger to visit Fermilab on Friday, August 2

BATAVIA, Ill.–The Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, John Marburger, and the Assistant Director for Physical Sciences, Patrick Looney, will visit Fermilab on Friday, August 2. Marburger, who also serves as the President’s Science Adviser, was confirmed by the Senate as OSTP Director on October 23, 2001.

Reporters and photographers can join Marburger for a 1:30 p.m. tour of the Lederman Science Education Center, where he will learn about Fermilab’s education program and meet teachers participating in a workshop that day. The media is also welcome to attend when Marburger addresses Fermilab employees and users at 2 p.m. in Fermilab’s Ramsey Auditorium. After his speech, Marburger will take questions from the audience.

Media representatives must register at the Lederman Center to obtain a Fermilab Visitor’s Pass before entering the site.
