quantum information and science

Two new awards will expand Fermilab’s critical role in the Genesis Mission by developing custom microelectronics and advancing quantum information science.

Northern Illinois University has joined the institutions advancing the frontiers of quantum information science through its new partnership in the Superconducting Quantum Materials and Systems (SQMS) Center, led by Fermilab.

Fermilab hosted its first quantum science education outreach program for Chicago high school students. The classes were taught by quantum scientists and subject matter experts to inspire the next generation of quantum researchers.
