On Saturday, April 20, baby bison season officially began. The first calf of the year was born in the early morning hours, and mother and baby are doing well. Fermilab is expecting between 12 and 14 new calves this spring, and all of our neighbors are welcome to come on site to see and photograph the newborns.

On Wednesday, April 18, baby bison season officially began at Fermilab. The first calf of the year was born in the early morning hours, with a second appearing before noon. Neighbors are welcome to visit with the newborns.

Baby bison season is here, and all are welcome to visit with and photograph the newborns. Fermilab is expecting the new babies to be joined by at least 10 more over the next six weeks.
