The SQMS Center at Fermilab is developing state-of-the-art quantum computers and sensors for the world’s most advanced particle accelerators. Led by Ann Grassellino, the Center is made-up of 35 partner institutions exploring how novel quantum tools can advance fundamental physics.

The University of Illinois-Chicago’s College of Engineering is preparing students for the
the growing “quantum prairie” of the Midwest. Their students have had access to work on quantum computers and the US Quantum Information Summer School at Fermilab.
