DUNE researchers are preparing for data analysis by developing AI systems to sort through huge amounts of data, identify neutrino interactions, spot signs of a stellar explosion and even detect problems inside the detector.

Scientists have been testing the limits of the DUNE detectors after they subjected the prototype detector to an extreme 300,000-volt stress trial, before it is installed deep underground in the US.
