The southwest Wilson Hall and Ramsey Auditorium Lobby entry doors have been temporarily closed and posted. This closure is due to the potential overhead hazard that exist related to the snow and ice buildup on the 17th-floor southwest corner roof edge. There will be some excavation to repair the sink hole on the NE side of WH. The work is primarily planned to take place over this weekend (11/4-11/5) during off hours. Pedestrian traffic in and out of the building will be unimpeded.
There will be a sitewide (except for the Village residences and labs) power outage on Monday, September 11, as our electrical team switches site power distribution from the Master Substation to the Kautz Road Substation. The electrical outage will begin at 6:00 AM with the powering down of the Main Injector Areas; these areas will be powered ON by 6:25 AM. On July 10, 2017 at approx. 6:00 am, the Fermilab Abri Credit Union Branch Office sustained damage when some grout formerly intended to seal a joint in the concrete fell in the room behind the teller stations. The Credit Union was closed until the remaining grout could also be removed. Working closely with Dawn Moes (Fermilab Branch Manager), a temporary Abri Credit Union office was established across the hall from the permanent Credit Union location. FESS/Facilities Management has scheduled the annual Sitewide Domestic Hydrant Flushing process for Saturday, June 24, and Sunday, June 25, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (weather permitting).
